Woodwind ILMEA Help

Hey ILMEA Woodwind Folks, see below for a FREE OPPORTUNITY at Illinois State University for help with your ILMEA stuff...

Dear Colleagues,

The woodwind professors at Illinois State University cordially invite your woodwind students to our campus on Sunday, September 24, for our 1st annual ILMEA Audition Workshop.  This workshop is free and open to all woodwind high school students preparing to take ILMEA auditions.

The afternoon's schedule will run from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and include a general information session, followed by breakout masterclasses on the ILMEA excerpts with our professors:

Professor Michael Dicker, bassoon

Dr. David Gresham, clarinet

Dr. Anne Dervin, clarinet

Professor Judith Dicker, oboe

Dr. Paul Nolen, saxophone

Alex Clay, flute

Our Professor of Flute, Kim Risinger, will be performing the Reinecke Flute Concerto that evening at 7:00 p.m. with the ISU Symphony Orchestra. Each participant will receive one free comp ticket to hear her and the orchestra perform if they choose. During the masterclass that day, Alex Clay, graduate student, will stand in for Dr. Risinger.

Students may register (free) at bands.illinoisstate.edu, or follow the QR code on our attached flyer.  Once registered, each student will receive detailed information about schedule and parking concerns. Thank you for sharing the flyer with your students!

I'm happy to answer any questions that may arise -- feel free to contact me at pnolen@ilstu.edu.

Thanks again for your consideration, and have a great fall!

Sincerely,

Paul Nolen
